Who should join?
We are looking for pioneers, founders in the EOSIO ecosystem who are either involved in DACs or enthusiasts who would like to be involved.
We encourage participation from technical and non-technical users and fans to participate. If you have an interest in EOSIO, DACs, Design, Governance, or Business— we want you!
Why is this event needed?
We need more equitable events. Events like DACathon this can transparently engage and reward community members. We need more real world community building activities.
What should we expect?
This is a virtual event. Show up and help contribute my presenting your DAC/DAO, DEFI projects. Engage in the Unconference discussions, participate in the Hackathon.
To be an active participant we would like you to attend. Contributors, registered users may get gifts for participating.
How are the Hackathon rules determined?
These rules will be determined and solidified by the participants at Hackathon Kickoff.
What are the Hackathon Prizes? How are they rewarded?
The EOS and community tokens collected are in a multisig collected and administered by MetaDAC, The EOS wallet is: verydacathon >
1) The holders of MetaDAC tokens— the DACDAC prior to voting need to stake a number of tokens via the MetaDAC Client > Next they will vote for their favorite projects on Consortium.vote >
2) Prizes will be submitted via the MetaDAC Client as they are determined winners and approved by the MetaDAC community at the end of the event.

Worker proposals or worker proposal system, during the event is currently used to help distribute prizes.

If I have an idea that I want to propose, can I propose it and see if anyone wants to join my team?
Yes.
Can participants be on more than one team?
Yes.
How would you describe what the DACathon is to a friend or family member?
We’re building software on top of EOSIO, which consists of many software communities. This event was used to form a group decision-making organization, in which the community collaborates, then makes proposals, then is rewarded for prototypes new software or services.
Participants can come just learn or show up with an idea. Participants will be able to form teams or join other teams. It’s most similar to a conference or a workshop where participants can get more value for their engagement.

What types of ideas can I propose for the Hackathon ? What is the process for proposing?
You can propose ideas for tools, prototypes, proof of concept or organizations.
If someone has an idea for a DAC, who should they talk to, to run it by them?
Jump into the Telegram, connect with the community and we’ll direct you to the right folks.
If I have a company, can I build a DAC, too?
Yes, a DAC is a separate concept, but individuals and/or companies can be Custodians and/or involved in DACs.
I’m having trouble with my Internet connection. What should I do?
Call into Zoom, you will find the number when you register.
